Basement Design

I have just read a basement design related article in Courierpress, that Eugenia and Maricela have turned a room in their basement into a mexican style party central, a perfect place for the fiestas they love.

They wanted a space with the energy, warmth and flavor of a Mexican cantina, and they wanted it to reflect their Mexican-Canadian heritage.

They have created a satellite kitchen for serving the dancing guests.  Highlighting this kitchen area is a cool, transparent globe light fixture.

They have used incredible and vibrant colors of Mexican on textiles, tiles, paints, fabrics and furnitures.

Covering the small window behind the sofa with a full, wall-sized, translucent blind gives the impression that the window is much larger than it is.  What a fantastic idea!

Well, this basement room is a great example of creativity, energy, fun and warm feelings.
